Every once and a while, you come across a brand that is the epitome of your lifestyle and I’ve totally found mine in The Wandering Coast. Based in Florida and offering oodles of coastal-inspired bohemian clothing, Brittany, who owns the boutique is pretty much my overseas sister from another mister.
With a trip to Magnetic Island on the cards, I thought I’d take my gorgeous pieces from the brand and style them up for sun-kissed days and balmy seaside nights.
Read on for how I styled fave boho pieces from The Wandering Coast, whilst, erm…wandering the coast of Magnetic Island.
As well as being total #wardrobegoals, the pieces from The Wandering Coast come with a little something extra too; each piece purchased helps the greater good. 10% of profits from all sales is donated to fund various charity projects. The brand also work tirelessly to collaborate with empowerment partners, artisans and brands with a positive impact on the world. How’s that for Eco chic?
‘Picnic Bay’, on the West of the Magnetic Island has the most stunning sunsets over the pier.
There’s nothing like racing around in a ‘topless Barbie car’ on Magnetic Island. I think my repeated screaming of ‘I’m a Barbie girl’ did almost make Jake loose the plot though….
Sunsets in paradise & dreamy outfits = a happy me.
The Galanga Bell Sleeved Top is like time traveling to the 70s, raiding Stevie Nicks wardrobe and giving it a modern twist. The flared bell sleeves quite literally make me feel like some kind of magical creature, whilst the tied, high neck makes it appropriate for work, lunch with the girls and everything in between. The intricate paisley print makes it a total must for every boho babe.
To give it a cheeky edge, I tied my blouse at the waist and paired with a flowing, lace detailed midi skirt. I kept it casual for an island dinner with flat sandals, wooden earrings and my favorite round basket bag.
Note to self: don’t fall in pool.
That embroidered detail makes this off-the-shoulder number anything but run of the mill.
For an easy evening look, but salty/sweaty hair into a top knot and team with statement earrings.
A white playsuit and a tan are pretty much like a personal hallelujah chorus.
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out how this gorgeous boho playsuit got it’s name! The festival of the sun romper is everything a girl needs in a gorgeous holiday outfit: off-shoulder, white and pretty details that elevate it to evening status. The white tie belt is perfect for cinching in a food baby (which on holiday is an every day occurrence) and the flowy sleeves and cut-out detail are the perfect juxtaposition of sexy and angelic.
I styled this off the shoulder playsuit with spookily matching earrings (seriously, could these match any more?) and a braided basket bag. Then, I headed out for pina coladas under the pastel sunset!
