If you’d said to me seven years ago that trendy pool floats would be an actual thing, I would have assumed that you were either, a: a five year old, or b: someone who owns some sort of novelty store.
Since Taylor Swift and that swan a couple of years ago, pool floats have, quite literally, blown up! From our fave Instagrammers rocking rainbow unicorns, to the rich and famous flaunting their bods on doughnuts, ducks and even poo emojis. (Yes, really).
I took my Clark Rubber* inflatable rainbow unicorn and flamingo island and personally tested them out in some of the prettiest spots in Tropical North Queensland. My verdict? These babies are the perfect excuse to be a big kid in the sun, get those Instagram-worthy shots and be the absolute epitome of #SummerGoals.
Leave that Swift-style swan in 2017 folks! Here’s the trendy pool floats that are sure to inflate your Instagram in 2018…
Inflatable Unicorn Pool Float
With a blazing rainbow mane and an adorable face, this Clark Rubber giant rainbow unicorn* will send your Instagram page into an absolute frenzy!
When I was a little girl, my Sister and I collected My Little Pony’s obsessively. We would spend weekends rummaging through car boot sales and charity shops and we ended up with over 300! This unicorn honestly makes all my childhood My Little Pony dreams come true. Riding a rainbow unicorn through actual paradise is never something I even thought possible when I was growing up in the UK.
As a matter of fact, this unicorn is so darn Instagram worthy that I actually saw several random strangers taking photos of me. **Goes red** I guess it really isn’t something that you see everyday…

Giant Pink Inflatable Flamingo
The best things in life are those shared with someone special and I can honestly say that trendy pool floats are waaaay more fun with someone to share them with!
This mega flamingo island* is so huge, that Jake and I both enjoyed floating around in paradise on it together!
Side note: I didn’t manage to get a photo of Jake on the flamingo, as he wouldn’t let me. Apparently, giant pink inflatable flamingos are not exactly the most masculine of things.
Nonetheless, we enjoyed drifting through teal rainforest pools on one of the biggest trendy pool floats I’ve ever seen!
